A substantial fire engulfed a warehouse in Bhiwandi tehsil, persisting for over 24 hours before being managed on Wednesday morning, according to officials.
The blaze impacted at least five godowns containing chemicals, as confirmed by an official source.
Cooling operations are still ongoing at the Mayashree Compound in Purna, as stated by a fire brigade official. The fire ignited around 8 AM on Tuesday and continued overnight. Saquib Kharbe, head of the disaster management cell of the Bhiwandi Nizampur Municipal Corporation, reported that a firefighting team remains on-site to prevent any further incidents.
