In a dramatic turn of events in Mathura, a tanker carrying flammable chemicals overturned early Wednesday morning and ignited, creating a monumental blaze that required urgent attention.
The tanker was en route from Raya toward the Mathura refinery when it overturned around 4:30 am near Manoharpur village, according to SP (Rural) Suresh Chandra Rawat. As the flames rose, the driver of the tanker reportedly fled the scene, leaving a trail of chaos behind.
Emergency response was swift, with six fire tenders and two foam tenders from the nearby Mathura refinery deployed to battle the inferno. Unfortunately, during the operation, two firemen and a home guard sustained injuries but were stabilized following treatment. Firefighters managed to bring the situation under control after approximately three-and-a-half hours of laborious work.
