IAS Officer Sarfaraz Ahmad Takes Charge of Hyderabad Metro Rail
The Telangana government has appointed Sarfaraz Ahmad in Full Additional Charge as Managing Director of Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited. The move relieves NVS Reddy, who served since 2007, and transitions him to an advisory role in Urban Transport. Other IAS officers also received new postings.

In a notable reshuffle, the Telangana government appointed senior IAS officer Sarfaraz Ahmad as the Full Additional Charge Managing Director of Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL), signalling a strategic change in leadership.
Previously the Metropolitan Commissioner of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), Ahmad succeeds NVS Reddy, who led HMRL since 2007. Reddy will now serve as Advisor for Urban Transport for the next two years.
The government also announced a series of transfers among other IAS officers, including Shruti Ojha, designated as Director of Women Development and Child Welfare, and Krishna Aditya S, who takes on additional responsibilities with Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society.
