Maharashtra Launches 'Namo Parks' to Celebrate Modi's 75th Birthday
To mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday, Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced a Rs 1 crore initiative to develop 'Namo Parks' in 394 municipal and town councils. A divisional competition will award cash prizes to top councils that excel in the development.

In a move to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday, Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde unveiled an initiative that will see Rs 1 crore allocated to municipal and town councils for the creation of 'Namo Parks'.
The scheme aims to enhance green spaces across 394 municipal and town councils in the state. Shinde, who also serves as the Urban Development Minister, described the parks as a birthday gift to the Prime Minister from Maharashtra.
Additionally, a divisional-level competition will be instituted, awarding Rs 5 crore, Rs 3 crore, and Rs 1 crore to the top three performing councils, respectively, encouraging excellence in urban development.
