A 60-year-old man was tragically killed by a tiger in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district, as confirmed by a local official on Tuesday.
The devastating incident unfolded in Shivra village, within the Chimur forest region, last Sunday evening. Neelkanth Bhure, a respected farmer and former village head, was inspecting his crops near Shankarpur-Chimur Road when he encountered the deadly predator.
Efforts to locate Bhure led to the grim discovery of his half-eaten body later that night. This attack follows other fatal tiger encounters in the area, including incidents involving a woman in Ganeshpipri and a farmer in Nagbhid tehsil this past October.
