Bengaluru's traffic management was under fire recently as Samajwadi Party MP Rajeev Rai took to social media, labeling the city's roads the most notorious. Rai, who was in Bengaluru, shared his ordeal of being stuck on Rajkumar Samadhi Road, risking missing his flight and highlighting the city's traffic woes.
Rai's post caught the attention of Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, who oversees Bengaluru's development. In a statement to reporters, Shivakumar said he would invite Rai to Delhi to showcase the congestion in the national capital, suggesting that traffic issues are not unique to Bengaluru.
The criticism adds to the mounting pressure on the state government from industry bodies and citizens who are increasingly frustrated with Bengaluru's ongoing traffic and infrastructure challenges.
