As temperatures plummeted across Punjab and Haryana, the region experienced frigid cold, with Rupnagar registering the coldest temperature at a chilling 3.6 degrees Celsius.
According to the MeT department, Amritsar saw a low of 6.1 degrees Celsius, while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded minimums at 9.2 and 10.1 degrees respectively. Simultaneously, cities like Pathankot, Bathinda, and Gurdaspur shivered at low temperatures.
Haryana wasn't spared from the cold snap, as places like Ambala and Hisar also faced sub-11 degree readings, further underscoring a widespread cold wave impacting both states.
