Chill Persists Across Punjab and Haryana

Cold weather continues to grip Punjab and Haryana with temperatures dropping below normal. Chandigarh recorded 6.8°C, two degrees below normal. Various cities reported varying lows, including Amritsar at 5.9°C and Hisar at 6.2°C. The chill shows signs of prevailing across the regions.

Cold weather conditions persist across Punjab and Haryana, as the Met office reports Chandigarh's temperature at 6.8 degrees Celsius, indicating a two-degree drop below normal readings for this time of year.

Amritsar experienced a slight anomaly with a low of 5.9 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal, while other cities like Ludhiana and Patiala reported temperatures of 6.4 and 6.9 degrees Celsius, respectively. Pathankot and Bathinda registered lows of 6.6 and 6 degrees Celsius.

In Haryana, Ambala faced a minimum temperature of 8.5 degrees Celsius, Hisar recorded 6.2 degrees Celsius—both lower than average. Karnal and Narnaul documented temperatures of 7 and 6.5 degrees Celsius, contributing to the prevailing cold wave.
