Cold weather conditions persist across Punjab and Haryana, as the Met office reports Chandigarh's temperature at 6.8 degrees Celsius, indicating a two-degree drop below normal readings for this time of year.
Amritsar experienced a slight anomaly with a low of 5.9 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal, while other cities like Ludhiana and Patiala reported temperatures of 6.4 and 6.9 degrees Celsius, respectively. Pathankot and Bathinda registered lows of 6.6 and 6 degrees Celsius.
In Haryana, Ambala faced a minimum temperature of 8.5 degrees Celsius, Hisar recorded 6.2 degrees Celsius—both lower than average. Karnal and Narnaul documented temperatures of 7 and 6.5 degrees Celsius, contributing to the prevailing cold wave.
