A devastating fire tragedy struck a building in Jharkhand's Dhanbad district, claiming the lives of two family members, including an elderly woman, and leaving two others severely injured, according to local authorities.
The incident occurred on Monday night at Vikas Nagar in the Seraidhela police station area. Firefighters managed to douse the flames, ensuring the safe rescue of other residents.
The victims, identified as Chinta Devi, aged 70, and Prashant Kumar, aged 22, were recovered from the debris. Initial investigations suggest a short circuit or a heater might have ignited the fire, but authorities are continuing their probe into the exact cause.
