Rajasthan Embraces Winter Chill as Temperatures Plummet

Rajasthan is shivering as the state braces for an intense cold wave, with the mercury dipping below 10 degrees Celsius across most regions, according to the meteorological department's Tuesday report.
Ganganagar and Hanumangarh were engulfed in fog early Tuesday morning, adding to the winter chill sweeping the state.
Fatehpur in Sikar recorded a biting low of 4 degrees Celsius on Monday night, while Nagaur wasn't far behind at 5.6 degrees. Neighboring areas also felt the sharp cold with temperatures in Sikar dropping to 6 degrees, Dausa to 6.2 degrees, Sirohi to 6.6 degrees, and Churu to 6.8 degrees Celsius.
The MeT department forecasts that temperatures will stabilize around normal soon, though patches of light to moderate fog are expected to linger in the eastern and western parts of Rajasthan.
