In a significant announcement, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis revealed that infrastructure projects valued at nearly Rs 2 lakh crore are progressing across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Ambarnath and Badlapur in Thane are poised to benefit notably from these developments, particularly with forthcoming metro and railway projects.

Campaigning at a public meeting in Ambarnath for the Municipal Council elections, Fadnavis confirmed that the much-anticipated Metro Line 14, which will connect Kanjurmarg to Badlapur, is set to commence in the next four months. The Chief Minister emphasized that Metro Lines 5, 12, and 14 will revolutionize connectivity for Ambarnath and Badlapur, facilitating commutes and propelling development.

The Chief Minister, accompanied by BJP leaders including state president Ravindra Chavan and Forest Minister Ganesh Naik, declared that his visit was aimed at presenting the BJP's vision for development rather than engaging in political rivalry. Furthermore, the BJP's promise of enhanced suburban train services includes converting all local trains to air-conditioned without fare hikes, promising a comfortable commute for all.
