The Commission for Air Quality Management has invoked the GRAP restrictions in NCR following a spike in Delhi's air quality index. Currently at 354, forecasts predict the AQI will exceed 400. To counter this, Stage-III restrictions will be enforced. Certain commercial vehicles will be restricted entry to Delhi.

The Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and Adjoining Areas (CAQM) has implemented GRAP restrictions after observing a concerning rise in the region's air quality index (AQI).
From Thursday to Friday, Delhi's AQI increased from 343 to 354, prompting officials to take decisive action. Forecasts suggest further escalation into the 'severe' category.
Stage-III GRAP measures have been activated to combat deteriorating conditions, with restrictions on certain diesel vehicles entering Delhi. The move aims to mitigate factors like stubble burning, vehicular emissions, and adverse weather that lead to hazardous pollution levels each winter.
