In an effort to streamline vehicle movement during the upcoming Republic Day parade, Delhi Traffic Police has teamed up with navigation giants Google Maps and Mappls. This collaboration is set to guide visitors to designated parking spots, helping ease congestion around Kartavya Path.

According to a senior police officer, both invited guests and ticket holders can now rely on real-time navigation services to reach their parking areas efficiently. The initiative extends beyond the Republic Day parade; it will also be in operation for the Beating Retreat ceremony on January 29.

The defence ministry supports this initiative by providing animated help videos and has introduced a QR code-based parking system to further aid visitors. This system accommodates around 8,000 vehicles, and allows spectators to scan codes on their passes for exact directions.
