Noida Metro Expansion Boosts Connectivity and Growth
The Union Cabinet has approved the extension of the Noida Metro (Aqua Line), a move seen as historic for regional connectivity. Spanning 11.6 km, the project will feature eight new stations and position the Botanical Garden as a significant interchange. This initiative aims to strengthen Noida's role as a key manufacturing and service hub.

The Noida Metro's Aqua Line is undergoing a significant extension, marking a new chapter in regional connectivity for Noida and Greater Noida. Approved by the Union Cabinet led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this project is set to cover an 11.6-kilometer stretch from Botanical Garden to Noida Sector 142.
This expansion will introduce eight new elevated stations, enhancing travel convenience for millions of commuters and positioning the Botanical Garden as a major interchange hub. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lauded the move as not only a step towards faster regional development but also as a boost for Noida as a manufacturing and service epicenter.
Once operational, the extension will create a Metro Rail Network of 61.62 km, integrating key zones, commercial hubs, and educational institutes. Additionally, it will connect with high-demand corridors such as the Botanical Garden, Blue Line, and Magenta Line, ushering in improved public transportation for the city.
