In a heart-wrenching incident, two young boys tragically drowned in an agricultural field in Naugadh on Tuesday. The boys, Harsh Keshari, 7, and Ankur Yadav, 9, ventured to the fields from their Golabad village home, accompanied by their sisters.

Circle Officer Nemendra Rawat reported that local farmers frequently dig deep pits, up to 12 feet, to store water for irrigation. The boys bent over to drink from one such pit, slipped, and fell in, leading to their untimely demise.

Family members rushed to the scene upon receiving the distressing news and pulled the boys out. Despite the immediate medical attention at a local health center, doctors' attempts to revive the children with CPR failed. The bodies have been sent for postmortem examination.
