Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of significant redevelopment projects valued at Rs 15,200 crore under the General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) plan on Sunday.
The inauguration, attended by Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, saw a symbolic handover of keys to female allottees at the GPRA Type-5 quarters in Sarojini Nagar, accompanied by an interaction with women labourers.
Encompassing key locations like Sarojini Nagar and Netaji Nagar, this ambitious government initiative aims to modernize GPRA colonies using a self-sustainable model. By developing commercial spaces, the government funds the projects while ensuring the creation of over 9,350 modern flats and roughly 48 lakh square feet of office space.
