Innovative Underpass Construction Underway at Begumpet Airport

Telangana announces the unique construction of an underground traffic tunnel beneath Begumpet Airport's runway. In a groundbreaking announcement, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy revealed the ongoing construction of an underground traffic tunnel under Begumpet Airport's runway. This innovative project, a world-first, seeks to reduce congestion from northern Telangana into the city.

During the Legislative Council's Question Hour, Reddy also discussed forming a cabinet sub-committee for the Musi Riverfront development. He emphasized a proactive approach to urban issues, aiming to avoid the pitfalls faced by metropolises like Delhi and Mumbai.

Furthermore, plans to modernize Hyderabad's infrastructure include a significant Metro Rail expansion and strategic relocation of pollutant industries. These initiatives underscore the government's commitment to balanced urban and regional development.
