Tragic Tiger Attack in Rishikesh Forest

A 60-year-old man, Khim Singh, from Tadam Gram Sabha was killed by a tiger in the Mohan Range of the Almora Forest Division. Authorities have launched a search operation using camera traps and drones to locate the tiger responsible. Singh went missing while gathering fodder in the forest.

A tragic incident unfolded in Rishikesh, with a fatal tiger attack claiming the life of a 60-year-old man identified as Khim Singh.

On Wednesday, Singh ventured into the Mohan Range under the Almora Forest Division to gather fodder but never returned, sparking concerns and a subsequent search by officials.

Officials, including Chandrashekhar Joshi, Conservator of Forests (South Kumaon), disclosed that Singh's blood-stained clothing and eventually his body were discovered. Tigers have been a menace in these areas, prompting the installation of camera traps and the deployment of drones to track the predator.
