Facing another scorching summer, Delhi's Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has rolled out a comprehensive Heat Wave Action Plan.
This year's strategy, deemed more scientific and robust, emphasizes cool roofing, misting systems, and oral rehydration solutions for schoolchildren. Additionally, construction workers are advised to pause outdoor activities during peak heat hours.
Focusing on thermal hotspots, the plan includes the installation of water containers for animals and a stern directive for uninterrupted power supply to key sectors. Quick response teams are on standby, with the aim to mitigate the severe heatwave's impact on the city.
