Census 2027: Self-enumeration to begin in Jharkhand from May 1

''Self-enumeration is a simple and convenient process that allows individuals and families to provide their information through a portal,'' he told reporters. He urged all to actively participate in this exercise and provide details about their household, housing conditions, and basic amenities. After the self-enumeration exercise, the housing listing and housing census (HLO) field operations will begin on May 16 and continue till June 14. During this period, enumerators will visit households across the state to collect data directly, he said, adding that around 76,000 enumerators and supervisors will be deployed across Jharkhand for the purpose.
