Ladakh has undergone a remarkable transformation since its 2019 status shift to a Union Territory, according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Speaking on Friday, Shah outlined the sweeping political, social, and economic changes that have occurred in the region, which now boasts significant infrastructure advancements.

In the past four years, Ladakh has seen its road length more than double, a substantial increase in the number of districts, panchayats, bridges, and educational facilities. The region's connectivity has also improved drastically, with a rise in mobile towers and a reduction in days major roads remain closed due to snow.

The establishment of the Sindhu Infrastructure Development Corporation promises further industrial growth, aiming for self-reliance in this border area. Amit Shah asserts all these developments are part of an ongoing agenda driven by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for the nation's progress.
