This effort underscores the state's commitment to fostering 'Ease of Living and Ease of Doing Business' through futuristic urban infrastructure and sustainable transport solutions.

The state's Principal Secretary, S Suresh Kumar, highlighted the initiative as a transformative shift in urban mobility planning. It integrates clean energy and advanced infrastructure with sustainable transport systems, emphasizing the state's vision for long-term carbon neutrality. A dedicated fund of Rs 250 crore has been proposed to support the policy, with Rs 50 crore allocated per city.

The policy framework encompasses development of EV charging infrastructure, green routes, and zero-emission zones, targeting enhanced electric vehicle adoption. City-specific initiatives include green tourism mobility in Visakhapatnam and logistics-focused EV infrastructure in Vijayawada. This move aims to attract investments and generate employment in the EV sector, setting a benchmark for electric mobility-driven urban transformation.
