Tragic End: Leopardess Killed on Maharashtra Highway
A leopardess was fatally struck by an unidentified vehicle on the Kalyan-Murbad Highway in Maharashtra's Thane district. Despite swift arrival by the forest department's rescue team and RAWW, the animal was found dead. Authorities are investigating the incident and a post-mortem will follow appropriate disposal protocols.

A leopardess was tragically killed after being struck by an unidentified vehicle on Maharashtra's Kalyan-Murbad Highway, authorities reported Friday.
The incident occurred in Thane district and was quickly relayed to the forest helpline, prompting a rapid response by the forest department and Resqink Association for Wildlife Welfare (RAWW).
Despite their swift arrival, the team found the leopardess deceased at the scene. The incident is under investigation, and a post-mortem is planned prior to the carcass's proper disposal.
