A deadly fire erupted in a residential building in east Delhi's Vivek Vihar, claiming at least nine lives, according to officials. The blaze, reported around 3:48 am, engulfed multiple floors, prompting a massive rescue operation.
Authorities mobilized 12 fire tenders to combat the flames, while police and disaster management teams conducted evacuation efforts. Although 10 to 15 individuals were rescued, two suffered minor injuries and were hospitalized.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and investigative teams are working tirelessly to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident. The identities of the deceased have yet to be confirmed, and further proceedings are in progress.
