The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for intense weather conditions in Uttarakhand, forecasting heavy rainfall, hailstorms, and lightning in several districts.
Dehradun, Nainital, and other regions are on high alert with gusty winds expected, as authorities halt the Adi Kailash pilgrimage due to safety concerns.
Temperatures are currently below normal, however, a rise is anticipated in the upcoming days, the IMD stated, while monitoring continues for affected pilgrims.
