A 19-year-old worker lost his life after a steel frame fell on him during the early hours of Tuesday. The incident occurred at a construction site for the Sewri-Worli Connector in Parel, central Mumbai.
The worker, identified as Ravi Giri from Nepal, was involved in transporting steel frames when the mishap occurred. This marks the fourth fatality associated with infrastructure project accidents in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region in recent days.
Authorities have filed a case, and investigations continue, focusing on potential negligence by crane operator Mohammed Anas Shaikh and supervisor Ani Shivdayal Giri.
