An early morning tragedy struck Murphy Town when a 65-year-old auto driver died due to an electric two-wheeler explosion at his residence. Identified as Lourd Nathan, the victim was charging his vehicle when it allegedly erupted in flames, leading to his untimely demise.

According to police reports, the incident occurred around 3 am when the charged two-wheeler prompted a fire that spread rapidly through the house. Nathan, asleep at the time, sustained severe burn injuries and was rushed to Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital. Unfortunately, doctors declared him dead on arrival.
