The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has initiated measures for development by announcing the temporary closure of the Goda Ghat area. Set to commence on May 16 and last until July 16, the closure aims to facilitate improvement and development works under the Ramkal Path project.
An official public notice confirmed the restriction of entry and movement for common citizens in the Goda Ghat area during this period. The initiative is a part of broader efforts by the NMC to enhance infrastructure along the banks of the Godavari river.
To accommodate cultural practices, Purohit Mahasangh office-bearers have arranged temporary sheds at Yashwant Maharaj Patangan, Bhaji Patangan, Gandhi Talao, and Asthi Kund for conducting funerary rituals.
