A fire erupted at two factories in Sector 63 on Saturday afternoon, leading to an extensive firefighting effort by local authorities. According to police, no casualties were reported.
The blaze affected Shaurya Exports and Eagle Business Corporation, two units located at D-139 and D-140, respectively. Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar announced that the fire began around 1.45 pm at the Eagle Business Corporation's D-Block premises.
A total of 16 fire tenders were dispatched to control the fire, which was subdued within an hour. Water was also sprayed on adjacent buildings to prevent further spread. While the exact cause remains unknown, a short circuit is suspected to have initiated the incident.
