The Municipal Corporation of Delhi's Karol Bagh Zone has launched an ambitious 15-day 'Dust Free Roads' campaign. The initiative, aimed at reducing dust and improving cleanliness on major roads, commenced with intensive cleaning operations on Girdharlal Goswami Marg. Mechanical sweepers, water sprinklers, anti-smog guns, water tankers, and sanitation workers were deployed.
According to officials, accumulated dust and debris were cleared from roadsides, and footpaths were washed as part of the sanitation drive. The campaign highlights include mechanized road sweeping and dust suppression efforts, particularly focusing on heavy traffic areas.
Deputy Commissioner Dilkhush Meena emphasized the implementation of the campaign with strict monitoring and dedicated sanitation efforts, underscoring the initiative's goal of maintaining dust-free conditions through comprehensive cleaning strategies.
