Three underground multi-level parking facilities are set to be established in Delhi, with the proposal scheduled for discussion during the Municipal Corporation of Delhi's (MCD) House meeting on May 25.
According to the agenda circulated for the meeting, the projects are planned for New Friends Colony, Jangpura, and Kalkaji under the Central Zone.
The proposal seeks approval for a revised contractual amount of Rs 107.44 crore, an increase from the earlier amount of Rs 104.20 crore for work already completed.
Additionally, the civic body will also consider granting revised administrative approval and expenditure sanction for the project, increasing the total project cost from Rs 104.20 crore to Rs 131.19 crore, the agenda stated.
Beyond the parking projects, the House agenda includes proposals regarding the extension of contracts for the collection and transportation of municipal solid waste and street sweeping in the South and West zones.
A proposal for constructing a community centre in C-Block, Seemapuri, under the Shahdara (North) Zone is also included in the agenda.
Officials said the elections for ward committees and the six vacant seats on the Standing Committee, originally scheduled for May 23, have been postponed and are now likely to take place on June 3.
