The Andhra Pradesh government has underscored the necessity of transparent policy-making and concerted efforts among all stakeholders to ensure the sustainable development of the aquaculture industry. State official Kinjarapu Atchannaidu emphasized that addressing the sector's challenges, including rising shrimp feed costs and export difficulties, is a priority.

The administration is reviewing the pressures affecting the industry, such as the scarcity of raw materials and increased financial burdens on aquaculture farmers. Atchannaidu confirmed that pragmatic decisions would be implemented to balance farmers' interests with industry sustainability.

The dialogue included farmers, feed manufacturers, and exporters who provided feedback to help outline stabilization strategies. Atchannaidu highlighted the enhancement of quality control through technology like IoT monitoring, CCTV hatchery surveillance, and seed traceability to ensure product excellence.

There are plans to present a thorough report to the national government detailing issues with GM soy imports, fish meal supply, and other export-linked hurdles. The state remains committed to improving the sector through transparent and fair governance practices.
