Centre to Release Funds for Mizoram's Energy Improvement

The Indian government is set to allocate Rs 6 crore to enhance Mizoram's power infrastructure. Union Power Minister Khattar confirmed the funds during a discussion with BJP leaders in Aizawl, promising quick action upon receipt of the state's contribution.

The central government of India has pledged Rs 6 crore towards enhancing the power infrastructure in Mizoram, as announced by Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. This declaration was made during a meeting with BJP representatives in Aizawl, according to state BJP sources.

The meeting chaired by Mizoram BJP president K Beichhua, addressed numerous state concerns, among them the delay in central funds and issues faced by DAY-NULM contractual employees. Khattar assured rapid fund release once Mizoram deposits Rs 60 lakh. He also promised attention to grievances of contractual workers, with plans for NULM 2.0 under development.
