Egypt Powers Ahead: $420 Million Wind Plant Deal Signed

Egypt has finalized agreements for the 580-megawatt Jabal El-Zeit wind power plant in the Red Sea region, valued at $420 million. The deals involve Egypt's New and Renewable Energy Authority, the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company, and Dubai-based Alcazar Energy, aiming to boost renewable energy capacity.

In a significant move towards sustainable energy, Egypt secured investment, operation, and power purchase agreements for the Jabal El-Zeit wind power plant in the Red Sea.

The project, valued at $420 million, marks a substantial boost in the country's renewable energy endeavors.

The agreements were signed between Egypt's New and Renewable Energy Authority, the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company, and Alcazar Energy, a Dubai private energy firm.
