Indonesia will close the Komodo Island in an effort to crackdown on smuggling of Komodo Dragons. Sources say the closure is in response to the alleged smuggling of 41 giant lizards and their sale overseas for about $31,1000 each. Komodo Island is a major tourist attraction in Indonesia. Reports further say that the closure will allow better preservation of the island's nature and environment. It will also help increase the Komodo Dragons' population.
