Light earthquake hits Palghar, Maharasthra; no damage reported

A light earthquake of magnitude 2.5 has shaken Palghar and nearby regions of Maharashtra, according to Indian Meteorological Department. There have been no reports of any damage or injuries due to the earthquake which occurred at around 11:00 am local time.
This was a very light intensity earthquake and was hardly felt outside Palghar. IMD reported it at around 06:45 pm local time.

Palghar region has been hit by dozens of small earthquakes in recent months. This series of earthquakes started from November 11 when the first quake shook the region and many other earthquakes followed as months passed by. The region has suffered as much as 4 earthquakes in a single day but the intensity of these earthquakes was mostly between 2 and 4.
A few casualties have also been reported due to these tremors as scare persists in the region.
