Houston Astros activate right hander Morton from disabled list

The Houston Astros activated right-hander Charlie Morton from the 10-day disabled list to start Saturday's game against the Boston Red Sox.

Morton missed one start because of discomfort in his pitching shoulder. He pitched five innings or less in three straight starts before being placed on the disabled list.

Morton is 13-3 with a 3.14 ERA in 26 starts for the Astros this season. He is one victory shy of the career-best total he set last season.

The 34-year-old Morton made the All-Star team this season for the first time in his 11-year career.
