Philadelphia Flyers centre Nolan Patrick will miss the next 7-10 days with an upper-body injury sustained in Wednesday's win in Ottawa, the team announced Thursday.
Patrick, 20, left the ice early in the first period after a legal check by Senators forward Mark Stone. He did not return.
The No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft, Patrick appeared in 73 games as a rookie in 2017-18 and tallied 13 goals and 17 assists.
Through four games this season, he has yet to record a point while taking seven shots and compiling a minus-five on the stat sheet.
This is already the third notable injury this season for Philadelphia (2-2-0), as Patrick joins forward James van Riemsdyk (lower body) and backup goalie Michal Neuvirth (groin) on the shelf.
