Provisional Suspension of Bajrang Punia Revoked Pending Notice of Charge

The National Anti-Doping Agency's Disciplinary Panel has revoked wrestler Bajrang Punia's provisional suspension until a formal Notice of Charge is issued. Punia was initially suspended for not providing a urine sample during March trials. He challenged the suspension, citing NADA's failure to address previous concerns about an expired testing kit.

The National Anti-Doping Agency's Disciplinary Panel has determined to revoke the provisional suspension of Bajrang Punia, pending the issuance of a formal Notice of Charge.

Bajrang Punia, a Tokyo Games bronze medallist, faced suspension after he failed to provide a urine sample during the March selection trials. However, he contested the provisional suspension through legal representation, arguing that he had not refused the test but had instead sought clarification on the expired kit sent by NADA.

The panel's order, available to PTI, indicates that the provisional suspension will remain revoked until NADA issues an official Notice of Charge for anti-doping violations.
