India continued its dominating form, thrashing South Africa by seven wickets in the final ODI to seal a 3-0 series sweep here on Sunday. With Smriti Mandhana narrowly missing a century, India comfortably chased down the 216-run target.
Mandhana exhibited an impressive performance with an 83-ball 90, hitting 11 boundaries to set the foundation. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur added a crucial 42 off 48 balls, followed by Richa Ghosh's emphatic six sealing the victory in the 41st over, leaving 56 balls to spare.
Earlier, South Africa's innings faltered after skipper Laura Wolvaardt's 61-run performance, ending at 215/8. Indian bowlers Arundhati Reddy and Deepti Sharma took two wickets each to expedite the collapse.
