Indian Super League (ISL) club FC Goa announced on Thursday the return of forward Iker Guarrotxena for the upcoming 2024-25 season. The 31-year-old Spaniard, who was the club's top scorer in his debut 2022-23 season, is expected to significantly bolster the Gaurs as they vie for titles in the ISL, Durand Cup, and Kalinga Super Cup.
Guarrotxena made an immediate impact during his first stint with FC Goa, scoring 13 goals in 23 appearances across the ISL and Kalinga Super Cup. His technical brilliance and leadership quickly made him a fan favorite. After a brief return to Spain, Guarrotxena joined Mumbai City FC last season, where he notched three goals and two assists in six matches, playing a pivotal role in their strong finish.
