Jadon Sancho's Return: Manchester United Star Back in Training
Jadon Sancho resumed training with Manchester United after resolving differences with manager Erik ten Hag. Following a tense fallout and a loan to Borussia Dortmund, Sancho and Ten Hag held a positive meeting at Carrington Training Centre, marking a fresh start. Sancho will miss the pre-season opener but will be available subsequently.
Jadon Sancho has returned to training with Manchester United for the first time in 10 months. A club source confirmed the winger and manager Erik ten Hag resolved their differences following last year's public fallout.
Sancho and Ten Hag had a positive meeting at Carrington Training Centre and decided to put last season's drawn-out argument behind them. The 24-year-old winger made just three appearances for United last season, spending the second half on loan at Borussia Dortmund after his relationship with Ten Hag deteriorated in September.
United manager Ten Hag had excluded Sancho from the squad for United's 3-1 loss to Arsenal, citing subpar training performance, prompting Sancho to lash out on social media. He was eventually relegated to the youth squad before joining Dortmund in January, where he impressed in their Champions League semi-final win against PSG. Although Dortmund lost to Real Madrid in the final, Sancho earned praise from Ten Hag.
Ten Hag lauded Sancho's quality in a press conference, stating, 'He showed why Manchester United bought him and represents high value for the club.' Sancho will miss the pre-season opener against Rosenborg in Norway due to starting training late but will be available for selection afterward.
