Spain's Carlos Alcaraz delivered a commanding performance to defeat Serbia's Novak Djokovic 6-2, 6-2, 7-6(4) and successfully defend his Wimbledon title on Sunday. Alcaraz now boasts four Grand Slam trophies, maintaining an impeccable record in major finals following his Wimbledon wins, 2022 U.S. Open victory, and French Open triumph last month.

'It's a dream for me, winning this trophy,' said Alcaraz, who has become the ninth man to retain his Wimbledon title in the professional era. 'I want to keep going but it's a great feeling to play in this beautiful court and to lift this amazing trophy.'

Djokovic's loss denied him a 25th Grand Slam title that would have surpassed Margaret Court on the all-time list and equalled Roger Federer's record of eight Wimbledon men's singles titles. Despite a valiant effort, Djokovic commended Alcaraz for his performance. 'He was an absolutely deserved winner today. Congratulations to him for amazing tennis,' said Djokovic.
