The Sports Ministry's Mission Olympic Cell (MOC) has greenlit financial support for HS Prannoy's proposal to cover his trainer Rohan George Mathews' stay in Paris during the upcoming Olympic Games.

Through the ministry's Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS), Mathews will have his airfare, lodging, daily fees, visa, and other miscellaneous expenses covered, including transportation and medical costs, as well as an OPA for the duration.

Prannoy and Lakshya Sen are the sole representatives for India in men's singles badminton at the Paris Olympics. Apart from Prannoy, the MOC has approved assistance requests from athletes Vikash Singh, Suraj Panwar, Ankita Dhyani, Sarvesh Kushare, and shooter Anantjeet Singh Naruka for varied training and competition needs.

The proposal for Indian rifle shooter Rudrankksh Patil's financial assistance for a 20-day training in Serbia, under 2020 Olympic bronze medallist Sebic Milenko, was also sanctioned. Patil is preparing for both 50m 3P and 10m air rifle events.
