Mumbai City FC Secures Hitesh Sharma on Loan for 2024-25

Mumbai City FC has fortified its midfield by acquiring Odisha FC midfielder Hitesh Sharma on loan for the 2024-25 season, the club announced Friday. The Jalandhar-born player, who developed his skills at the Chandigarh Football Academy and Tata Football Academy (TFA), brings valuable experience to the team.

Having started his senior career with Mumbai FC in the I-League, Hitesh went on to play for Atletico de Kolkata, Hyderabad FC, and Odisha FC. Mumbai City FC head coach Petr Kratky emphasized the midfielder's extensive experience across Indian Super League (ISL) clubs. 'His versatility adds valuable depth to our midfield options,' Kratky stated.

At 26, Hitesh boasts 81 ISL appearances and lifted the ISL Cup with Hyderabad FC in the 2021-22 season. He made his international debut in 2018. 'Hitesh's adaptability in various midfield roles will strengthen our squad dynamics for the upcoming season,' the club noted. Expressing his excitement, Hitesh said, 'Representing Mumbai City FC in various competitions and contributing to its objectives will be an honour.'
