AIFF Honors Best Players and Coaches at Star-Studded Award Night

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) recognized Lallianzuala Chhangte and Indumathi Kathiresan as the Best Men's and Women's Players of the Year 2023-24 at the dazzling AIFF Award Night in New Delhi, attended by notable figures from the sports world.
Key attendees included Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, Olympic wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt, and India's Davis Cup captain Rohit Rajpal, among others. AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey expressed gratitude to the guests and emphasized the event's significance in honoring various contributors to Indian football.
In addition to recognizing Chhangte and Kathiresan, accolades were given to Khalid Jamil and Sukla Dutta for coaching, David Lalhlansanga and Neha for promising players, and referees Ramachandran Venkatesh and Ujjal Halder. Chhangte, who won the award for the second consecutive year, achieved notable milestones for Mumbai City FC and the national team.
The ceremony also saw numerous state associations being lauded for their contributions to the sport. Special awards were presented to regions like Odisha and Gujarat for their initiatives in promoting football and hosting major events.
