Pakistan's cricket authorities have declined to allow top players Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Mohammad Rizwan to participate in the Global T20 tournament in Canada, citing workload management.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) emphasized their decision was influenced by the upcoming busy season, involving nine tests, 14 ODIs, and nine T20Is.

In contrast, limited-overs specialists, including Asif Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Amir, and Mohammad Nawaz, have been given the nod to participate in the Canadian event starting next week.
