The All India Football Federation's Executive Committee has given the green light to significant amendments in the AIFF Disciplinary Code, as announced in their meeting on Saturday.
Among the new changes is a meticulously structured table of monetary fines for offenses such as direct expulsions and team misconduct, as detailed in the AIFF Disciplinary Code 2024.
Furthermore, the amended code empowers the Secretariat to propose sanctions based on the nature of the infringement, particularly for straightforward offenses. Article 74.1.1 now allows the AIFF Disciplinary Committee to sanction incidents that were overlooked by Match Officials. The changes also bring clarity to Article 65 to resolve issues with the sequence of issuing deadlines for failure to respect decisions.
These comprehensive amendments are expected to streamline the disciplinary process and ensure better compliance and understanding among the teams and officials.
