Gagan Narang, Olympic medallist shooter and India's Chef-de-Mission at the upcoming Paris Olympics, stated that Indian athletes' mindset has evolved remarkably over the years, pushing their confidence to new heights and encouraging a gold medal ambition.

Narang, a bronze medallist from the London Games, emphasized that today's athletes are no longer intimidated by international competition, viewing their counterparts as equals.

He noted, “There is a huge change in our athletes' motivation and thinking. We used to be under-confident, but that's changed now.” This shift is also attributed to increased government support and coordination between the Sports Ministry, Indian Olympic Association (IOA), and national federations, which has provided athletes with all necessary facilities.
