India's top singles player Sumit Nagal is set to start his Paris Olympics campaign against French player Moutet Corentin. A win could set up a clash with Australian world number six Alex di Minaur. Nagal, currently ranked 80th in the world, could encounter Australian world number six Alex di Minaur in the second round if he wins the opener.

Nagal and Moutet share a 2-2 head-to-head record, with Moutet ranked 12 places higher on the ATP singles chart. A potential second-round match could see Nagal taking on Wimbledon quarterfinalist Di Minaur, who withdrew from his last-eight clash against Novak Djokovic due to a hip injury.

Meanwhile, in the men's doubles event, Rohan Bopanna and N Sriram Balaji have drawn the French team of Fabien Reboul and Edouard Roger-Vasselin. Bopanna had earlier partnered with Roger-Vasselin on the ATP Tour. This tournament marks Bopanna's final chance to clinch an Olympic medal, having finished fourth with Sania Mirza in the mixed doubles at the 2016 Rio Games.
